Festivities are equally important for everyone, Navjeevan Foundation distributed sweets and Rakhi thread packets to more than 1,000 girls and women within the flood-affected areas within Barabanki, Sitapur, and Bahraich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is organized every year on the eve of Rakshabandhan – the Hindu festival otherwise known as Rakhi, after the bracelet that a sister ties to her brother’s wrist during this day of celebration, Rakshabandhan is an ancient tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
